    Opportunity Start Date - End Date: 10/07/2014 - 12/01/2015

         Organization: KOSCIUSKO RUNNERS' ASSOCIATION
         Frequency: 8 Saturday Mornings Yearly
         Location: Warsaw

We are excited about serving this area with a unique service.  We help charities time athletic events at about one-fourth of that which is charged by For-profit timers.  Therefore, more and more charities in our area are putting on such events.  These activities also provide men & women, and boys & girls to have healthier life-styles.   AND, we helped charities raise about a quarter of a million dollars in the last year!  Typically, these are on Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoon/evening.

The typical event has two volunteers.  One will set up the equipment and repack it after the event and therefore, takes some physical agility.  The other volunteer is responsible to run the electronics part. This process includes setting the clocks, and putting names, ages and so on in the computer before the event starts.  At the end, this person will print off the results of the event and give it to the director of the event.

One or both of these volunteers would need to possess a driver's license to drive the company owned van to the required event.  It takes between two to five events to learn the process, and then we would like to have them commit to eight to ten on their own in a year.  Really?  Yes, only about a dozen half-days are required in a whole year!  But these are very important to us so we can continue this wonderful service right here in Kosciusko County.
